Founded by a dedicated veteran with six years of active duty service as a Machinist Mate First Class on U.S. Navy nuclear submarines, HELM is built on a foundation of precision, reliability, and hard work. Growing up, our founder learned the value of hands-on craftsmanship, with a background that ranged from farming to construction. This breadth of experience helped shape the unique approach we bring to every project.

After serving his country, our founder transitioned into the world of advanced manufacturing, spending 13 years working as a technician specializing in robotics and precision lathes. This wealth of experience has allowed HELM to develop expertise in cutting-edge technology, while maintaining a commitment to old-school work ethic and attention to detail.
